About Barbra

Barbra uses a client-focused approach that emphasizes collaboration and encourages clients to actively participate in the development of their goals and treatment plan. She has an integrative therapy style drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities. These include, but are not limited to, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Evidence Based Emotional Freedom Therapy, Mindfulness, and Child Directed Play Therapy. Barbra uses trauma informed practice, and is experienced in domestic and family violence counselling, child abuse and neglect dynamics, parenting education, and working with adults, adolescents, and children. Barbra enjoys and feels privileged to support people in navigating the challenges associated with relationships, parenthood, life transitions, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, stress management, trauma, grief, PTSD, ADHD management, and self-esteem issues. She delivers a culturally sensitive service and inclusive practice that focuses on human rights. Barbra’s main starting point in helping clients is to have a conversation that is compassionate and non-judgemental.
