Special Interests
Madonna has a strong interest in relationship therapy, helping adults break self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving. She is experienced in providing treatment for stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties.
She tailors therapy for each client’s individual needs using evidence-based practice but has a particular interest and training in emotionally focused therapy and psychodynamic short and long-term therapy.
Madonna's Philosophy
Madonna comes from an experiential approach that combines theory with action. It is a technique that touches people’s lives deeply and intimately. It is not enough to tell somebody what they need to do – emotional healing is important.
The goal is to free the person from the unresolved emotions, so they are able to live in the present. By re-experiencing the emotional climates of significant moments of the past they can finally be released and healed by making room for feelings of love, hope, inner peace, and forgiveness.
